Since 1997, the award-winning, Central Valley Chronicles has taken a unique look at the amazing people and places around the Central Valley. Host Bette Vasquez takes you along as she explores some of Northern California's most interesting places and meets some of our region's most influential people, its architecture, diverse cuisine, history, arts, and literature.

Now entering its eighth season, Central Valley Chronicles is a weekly production of KVIE Public Television for the Central Valley and Sierra. A key part of KVIE's mission is to reflect the communities it serves back to themselves - and it does so with Chronicles as well as two other regularly scheduled series California Heartland, a program about the generous earth of the Golden State and the people who work it, and New Valley, which examines the issues that shape the history and future of the fastest growing part of California.
