Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts

"I'm bowled over, to be very honest, this has gone way beyond my expectations," said Robert Mondavi, on opening night of the brand new arts center that bears his name.

It was a dream, some four years in the making, to construct a state-of-the-art performance center that would attract world-class talent to the Central Valley. Tune in when we take you behind-the-scenes at UC Davis' brand new Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. The gleaming new theater features the 1,800-seat Jackson Hall, complete with cutting edge acoustics, a seating design that boasts perfect sightlines for every audience member.

Surrounded by walls made of sandstone imported from India and beautiful blond wood from Canada, audiences will be treated to an astounding variety of performers from all over the world. Bette talks with Mondavi Center Director Brian McCurdy about the impact this stunning new performance venue will have on the Northern California arts scene.
