Giusti's Restaurant in Walnut Grove is synonymous with the Sacramento River Delta. Pat McConahay shows us this respected eatery, which has served many a traveler since 1912. Italian immigrant brothers Egisto and Paolo Giusti started the restaurant. After leaving two other locations in the region, including the Ryde Hotel, Biusti's is now settled in its present location. Just like his parents and grandparents before him, today Mark Morais Giusti, grandson of the founders, runs the restaurant.

You'll find good Italian family style meals. Come with an appetite because for starters you get a big bowl of Minestrone soup followed by tossed salad with the family's special dressing, an antipasto plate, and finally the entrée. There's a little something for everyone from veal, pasta, and steaks, and, of course, fresh fish. It's a casual atmosphere. Be sure to admire the fascinating hat collection that adorns the wall. Giusti's is open every day except Monday for lunch and dinner.

The restaurant is located on the North Fork of the Mokelumne River at the confluence of Snodgrass Slough. There is over 250 feet of guest dock available, on a first come first served basis.
