You don't have to be a vegetarian to enjoy meatless dishes. Chronicles visits two places sure to please anyone. Pat McConahay tries out two valley vegetarian restaurants, one a tried-and-true location and the other a new venue that's getting good reviews.

The Sunflower Natural Food Restaurant is a landmark in Fair Oaks Village. "Sacramento Magazine" named it "Best Place to Get a Veggie burger." This little drive-in also prepares a mean real ice cream shake as well as nachos and an array of tasty menu items.

Our second stop was a brand new little café in Gold River. This delightful restaurant prides itself in offering vegan dishes. That means no meat and no dairy.
