Jellies: Living Art

We pay a visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, one of Monterey’s most popular attractions, to see their most recent exhibition, “Jellies Living Art.” Jelly Fish have no head, heart, brain, cartilage, or real eyes, yet they are considered to be among the major predators in the ocean. This translucent fish is an inspiring natural work of art, with glorious colors and shapes, is educating Aquarium visitors about their life and existence in the Marine world.

“Jellies: Living Art” showcases jellies that have never before been exhibited in North America, including the graceful Flower Hat and Blue jellies. Innovative works of art including a large installation of blown-glass vessels by world-famous artist Dale Chihuly and an amazing jellie swarm walk-through aquarium combine to create a stunning visual experience for visitors.

This fun exhibition also highlights a variety of special exhibitions created to educate visitors about the shapes and sizes, rhythm and movement, and colors and patterns of this amazing creature of the sea.
