The Sacramento Observer
Most of us think of the major events in America's civil rights movement as taking place in the south or back east. But there were important moments right here in the Valley…progress enabled by the power of the written word, and the remembrance of things past. Since 1962 The Sacramento Observer has been serving its readers and cementing its reputation as one of the country's leading African American newspapers.
